The overall objective of this project is to improve the quality of life of citizens through the implementation and enforcement of the EU environmental acquis within the scope of ambient air quality. 

The main purpose of the Project is threefold:

1.  Improvethe capacity of the air emissions inventory system, including tools used for AQ management, together with AQ modelling, HEY Portal, GIS, and other IT as a whole;
2.  UpdateClean AirActionPlans (CAAPs) for 31 cities located in the Southeast Anatolian, South Inner Anatolian, Aegean, Middle Black Sea and Mediterraneanregions; 

 Boost pprovincial emission abatement strategies and a package of measures that help improve the quality of ambient air by raising awareness in the public
